A Table Shaped by Tradition

Barolo Cucina D’Autore was born from a simple conviction: that great food, like great wine, is a reflection of place, patience, and love. We came to Fort Lauderdale carrying the soul of Piemonte in our hands.

Every morning our kitchen wakes early — sourcing what is freshest, rolling pasta by hand, and reducing sauces the way they have always been made in the farmhouses of northern Italy: slowly, and with care.

Our wine list is not simply a list. It is a conversation between the glass and the plate, curated by people who believe that the right Barolo can turn a meal into a memory.

We do not cook to impress. We cook because we love it — and we invite you to sit at our table and feel that love in every bite.

Chef Manuella Maffezzoli

Executive Chef & Culinary Director

Born in Milan, Italy, Chef Manuela Maffezzoli brings the soul of Northern Italian cuisine to South Florida through a lifetime of culinary dedication and passion. Trained in Italy, her foundation is rooted in tradition, technique, and a deep respect for authentic flavors.

Her dishes reflect both elegance and comfort, honoring recipes passed down through generations while elevating them with her personal touch.

Throughout her career, Chef Maffezzoli has become known for signature creations such as homemade gnocchi, lobster ravioli, grilled octopus, and traditional desserts like limoncello cake, crème brûlée and panna cotta—each prepared with precision and the finest ingredients.

Her journey in the United States began in Michigan, where she and her husband spent several years working in Italian hospitality and family-run restaurants.

She later brought her vision to South Florida, where she built a loyal following through a series of successful ventures, including Il Posto and La Perla di Pompano.

Today, at Barolo Cucina D'Autore, Chef Maffezzoli continues to share her passion through a menu that celebrates the richness of Northern Italian cuisine. In an intimate and elegant setting, she invites guests to experience the authenticity, warmth, and artistry that define her culinary philosophy.
